The return of the popular 'spotlight' on our SRC members begins this week - we look forward to hearing from all our SRC members over the coming weeks.

McAuley Inspires Me....!

Name: Sophie Lorraine Webb

Class: 3/4 B

Age: 10

Year started at McAuley: Kinder 2016

Interests/hobbies: Netball, swimming, horses and all sports

Favourite subject: (and why?): P.E. It is my favourite because I like to run around and play all sports.

A book or author I would recommend (and why?): 'How to Bee', because it is a great book that is based in Australia and is a challenging book for male and females. Stacy Gregg, because she writes hard and interesting books about horses.

Three words to describe McAuley: Friendships, Fun and creative.

Do you have a memorable classroom experience you’d like to share? When I was in year one our class surprised Mrs Crane with a birthday party.

What has been the happiest moment of your life? When I was a flower girl at my Godfather’s Wedding.

What is your proudest moment? Representing McAULEY and the Western Region in Swimming.

Goals as a SRC member for the remainder of 2020: To continue to make our school a better place.

Something interesting that you might not know about me: My Great, Great Uncle was Monsignor Blakeney who was the namesake of Blakeney Lodge.

Interests/hobbies: All sports, video games, cooking and eating.

Favourite subject: (and why?): Math, because it is interesting.

A book or author I would recommend (and why?): 'Ahn Do', he writes long and exciting stories.

Three words to describe McAuley: Happy, welcoming, spiritual.

Do you have a memorable classroom experience you’d like to share? Growing Monarch Butterflies with Miss Cole in Year 1.

What has been the happiest moment of your life? When I have won sport competitions.

What is your proudest moment? Winning of the Junior Sport Age Champion.

Goals as a SRC member for the remainder of 2020: Help raise more funds for the school.

Something interesting that you might not know about me: I have won prizes for my baking in the show.
