McAuley's involvement in the Accelerated Reader Program has continued in 2020, with Years 6, 7 and 8 participating in the program which encourages reading, matches students with books targeting their reading level whilst checking for comprehension. After only two terms, six secondary students have surpassed one million words read with several closer to the three million words. On Thursday they were rewarded with a treat of go buckets.
