The heat has arrived, please ensure your children wear their hat and have a water bottle. Recently the SRC had water coolers installed on both the Primary and Secondary sites. Whenever possible students should seek out shade and protect their skin from sunburn.

Some ideas for having a good day

Working for quality means working hard, working wisely, doing and re-doing, thinking about what we are doing and why.

Be kind. Your kindness does two great things. Your kindness strengthens others and, in return, strengthens you.

We make our own experiences and make our own memories. We cannot wait for someone else to make life good for us. We can create our own fun, look for what's right rather than what's wrong, and find happy moments even when times are hard. Look for beauty, for inspiration and for humour all around you. Look inside yourself for satisfaction and joy.

Know your strengths and build on them. Know your weaknesses and work around them. Think about what you want the day to be like. Know what you stand for and live each day by your own values.

Make the day better because you were in it. Make the place better because you passed by. Make the idea better because you improved it. Make the people you encounter stronger because you provided a helping hand, made them laugh, or gave them hope.

Turn off the excuses. Try to fix what's broken, even if you didn't break it. We are better and the world is better if we walk on our own two feet as we go through life. Take charge of your own path. Be the captain of your own success.

Spend time doing things that make you happy. Be silly. Giggle. Hatch ideas and try them on. Understand that play teaches us as much as books can teach. Play helps stretch our minds and makes us feel freer.
