YEARS 3-6 PUBLIC SPEAKING
Last week, as part of our English program, all students in Years 3 to 6 presented a speech to their class. This engaging activity helps build confidence, communication skills, and creative thinking.
The top two students from each class will progress to represent McAuley against St Patrick's, Gundagai with the winners progressing to the Western Region Public Speaking Competition—a fantastic opportunity to showcase their talents on a larger stage.
Each year group had a unique and thought-provoking topic:
-
Year 3 – If animals could talk, what would they say?
-
Year 4 – A much-needed invention
-
Year 5 – What would I do with a time machine?
-
Year 6 – What mistakes teach us
We’re incredibly proud of all students for their efforts and courage in speaking in front of their peers. We look forward to cheering on our finalists at the next level!
