On the last day of Term 3, McAuley celebrated a significant milestone in our school's history: our very first Year 12 Graduation Ceremony. It was a day filled with deep reflection as we looked back on the journey of our first graduating class. There were plenty of tears and laughter as we reminisced on their time with us, and joy in celebrating the incredible achievements of these young individuals.

Adding a personal touch to the event, the ceremony featured songs selected by the Year 12 students themselves, a heartfelt parent/carer and teachers' videos, and two compilation videos created by the graduating class, musical items, and touching speeches by Mr Moore, Mrs Dumbrell and Mrs Lu. These moments added even more depth and meaning to an already memorable ceremony.

We were honoured to have Ross Fox, Director of Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn (CECG), attend among our special guests. His presence reflected the pride we all felt in seeing our students reach this important stage.

After the ceremony, the Year 12's came together to raise an impressive $1065 for their chosen charity, Beyond Blue, reflecting their compassion and commitment to supporting mental health.

As our Year 12s sit their HSC exams, we extend our warmest wishes and confidence in their ability to succeed. Congratulations to the Class of 2024! You have left an indelible mark on McAuley’s history, and we can’t wait to see where your future leads.
