FROM THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

Professional_Pic.jpg
Mr. Mark Harmer

Hi my name is Mark Harmer. I am the Assistant Principal (Primary) at McAuley Catholic College.

I have previously held roles as Deputy Principal, English Coordinator and Sports Coordinator in schools in both NSW and VIC.

My family and I moved to Tumut just before Christmas after living in Victoria for nine years. My wife is originally from Wagga Wagga, and I am from Temora, so it is great to be back closer to home!

We have three school aged children, all of whom have their very own distinct personality and interests!

I enjoy spending my spare time playing and watching sport and enjoying time with my family.

My wife and I made the conscious decision to move to McAuley and the Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn due to the outstanding reputation in academic achievement, care and focus on student wellbeing.

We look forward to settling in Tumut and the years ahead.

Katie Campbell

My name is Katie Campbell. I have joined the McAuley staff in the Secondary School. I am teaching Year 11 English, 7 and 8 Music and 7 Science. I have been teaching on and off for the last 15 years in NSW, interstate and overseas. I am passionate about Music and am looking forward to building Music across the school. I have three young children, one of whom has moved to McAuley in the Primary School. I am grateful to be a part of McAuley Catholic College and am looking forward to a wonderful year.

Katie Haley

I'm Katie Haley, and I work part time on the secondary side of McAuley, supporting other teachers to undertake training or attend special events. You'll see me in a variety of classrooms, helping at all year levels. I grew up in Tumut, spent some time overseas travelling and studying, and I've come back to reconnect with my community and raise a family.

This is my first year in teaching, after spending most of my career in journalism. My favourite thing about being a journalist was being allowed to leave my desk when important things were happening in the community, and being able to dive in and ask the questions that people reading or listening to the news needed to know. This was especially true during natural disasters like floods and fires.

Currently, I live on 100 acres near Batlow with my husband and a big house full of boys, and I'm learning (very slowly!) how to be a gardener and grow a few veggies.

Erin Kingwill

My name is Erin Kingwill, I have taught in the primary setting for over a decade.  I am thrilled to be part of the McAuley Catholic College community, teaching Year One.  Beyond the classroom, I am a proud parent of two children, aged eight and almost seven. My family and I reside on a small property outside of town. We enjoy taking full advantage of our surroundings, particularly enjoying the beauty of the Tumut River and engaging in various outdoor activities.  I am genuinely excited about the learning journey that awaits both my students and me at McAuley Catholic College.
